  • You need to upgrade for competitive and pre-requisite entry into a post-secondary program

Whatever your circumstances, Lakeland can help you find the right academic upgrading path for you.

Lakeland College offer grades 4 to 9 at the Lloydminster campus.

Classes are live, online in Lloydminster.

The program is for adults of all ages and abilities. It's designed to prepare you for getting a high school diploma, career training or a job.

Plus it's affordable. You may also be eligible for funding through Alberta Works.

The program is 10-months, full-time. However, you may only need to attend part-time depending on the credits you need.

As a full-time student you'll take 15 credits per semester at a cost of $2,197.50 (includes a learning resource fee).

Application deadlines

Late applicants will be considered pending available seats in the program.

Grades 10 and 11 academic upgrading is also offered.

Class will be available live online at the Lloydminster campus.

Pre-requisite: A high school transcript that is less than 2 years old when you apply. If it's older, than you will need to take placement test (ACCUPLACER) to determine where you'll start.

Fees for 2022-23 ranged from $965 for taking 5 credits part-time for one term to $2,830 for taking 15 credits, full-time over one term.

What you need to know
  • You can be from anywhere in Canada
  • You must be 19 years old and have been out of school for at least one full year
  • We encourage you to have at least completed grade 11 level courses before you register in Adult 12
  • After you apply, you must book an interview appointment
  • You are eligible to take one course per semester
  • You are expected to attend all classes and complete all assignments, quizzes and exams.
