Schedule and tuition

Funding is available for Saskatchewan residents. See FAQ dropdown below. 

This program starts on Feb 1, 2027 and ends on May 5, 2027.

Classes are in-person and run Monday-Friday from 9 am to 3:30 pm on our Lloydminster campus.

Applicants should be:
  • 18 years old and out of school for at least a year
  • unemployed or marginally employed
  • able to complete ACCUPLACER assessment at Lakeland
  • on Employment Insurance (EI) or on Saskatchewan Income Support (SIS)
  • a resident of Canada, including permanent residents

Serious consideration given to applicants with valid Saskatchewan Health card and proof of Saskatchewan residency.

To earn a certificate you need to:

  • maintain a 90% or higher attendance record
  • pass all required courses and modules

Project content includes:

  • Math 20-3 (Workplace Apprenticeship Math 20 in Saskatchewan)
  • ELA 20
  • Employment readiness
  • Microcredentials and safety tickets
    • Pipeline construction safety
    • Hand and power tools safety
    • FOOD SAFE
    • CASA all-terrain vehicle safety awareness
    • Fire safety
    • H2S Awareness
    • WHMIS
    • PPE training
    • Fall protection safety
    • and more!
  • Career preparation and education

If you are a Saskatchewan resident on employment insurance, you may be approved for this program through CanSK Lloydminster. However, you will need to be approved before starting training.

Yes, if you are receiving SIS you can be approved into programming and become eligible for the Education and Training Incentive (ETI) or Saskatchewan Employment Incentive (SEI) when working and have children. 

Yes, if you are an eligible Saskatchewan resident.

Alberta residents may attend this program as well. Course fees will apply.

No. Course materials are provided.

If you would like to take part in this program, please complete the online Foundational Learning application form.

Lakeland College reserves the right to cancel a program due to low enrolment.

You will receive a 100% refund if you withdraw on or before the date that 20% of the program has been completed.

Not showing up isn't the same as withdrawing. Please contact us.

The date to withdraw from this program, with a full refund, is Feb 18, 2027.
