Partner Agencies

Lakeland College has authorized agent partners to assist international students. Authorized agents can help with English Language Proficiency requirements, assist with booking travel, or guide you through the application process.  
 
If you prefer to connect and apply directly to Lakeland, the International team is happy to assist.   Please contact us at international@lakelandcollege.ca.

Using an agent or a consultant 

The decision to use an agent is up to the student and their family. If you would like to be connected with an agent in your country or region please email international@lakelandcollege.ca for assistance.

If you choose to use a partner agent we recommend that:

• you complete your application online through Apply Alberta yourself with your email  
• make payments directly to Lakeland through Flywire
• understand what the agent will do to assist you with and when
• take responsibility for your accommodation, deadlines, and transportation
• be aware of anything that appears to be too good to be true

If your agent is offering to assist you with your study permit, they need to be a registered immigration consultant. You can verify the status of an immigration consultant on the public registry.

An immigration consultant is not necessary, but if you choose to use one ensure they are licensed and properly trained.
