Course ID: #RT-133
This course prepares students for awareness-level responsibilities in rope rescue operations, emphasizing foundational knowledge and skills for assisting with mechanical advantage systems, conducting incident size-ups, recognizing hazards, and initiating isolation procedures. Students will learn to operate within established protocols, support higher-level rescue operations, and assess the need for additional resources. Key topics include incident management, resource assessment, hazard control, and the basics of incident action plans. Upon completion, students will be equipped to support operations safely and effectively in alignment with AHJ guidelines and incident action plans.

Course ID: #RT-134
This course equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary for operations-level responsibilities in high-angle and low-angle rope rescue scenarios. Emphasizing practical applications, students will learn to perform comprehensive size-ups of rescue incidents, maintain hazard-specific personal protective equipment (PPE), and conduct routine maintenance of rescue equipment. Participants will learn to conduct thorough system safety checks, perform belay operations, and construct both simple and compound mechanical advantage systems. The curriculum covers essential skills, including edge protection, victim transfer, and litter management, while integrating knowledge of PPE and equipment inspection criteria. By the end of the course, students will be prepared to contribute effectively to rope rescue operations while ensuring safety and operational integrity.
Prerequisites: 1006 (1021) Rope Rescue Awareness Level OR 1006 (2013) Chapter 5 Rescue Awareness

Course ID: #RT-131
This awareness-level course in confined space rescue introduces essential protocols and procedures for identifying and mitigating risks in confined space incidents. Participants will learn to isolate hazards, manage scene control, and perform basic nonentry rescues. Key skills covered include hazard recognition, communication with victims, and operational support techniques. Through scenario-based training, students will practice initiating search operations outside the confined space, establishing scene control, and gathering critical incident information to support response efforts. This course provides the foundational knowledge and practical skills required to safely assist in confined space rescue situations, ensuring safety for rescuers, victims, and bystanders.

Course ID: #RT-132
This operations-level course prepares emergency responders to conduct safe, effective rescues in confined environments with a focus on respiratory protection, patient care, and rescue equipment handling. Participants will learn essential techniques including the application and management of SCBA for rescue entrants, rapid application of respirators to victims, patient packaging, and extraction using low-profile patient packaging equipment and anchor systems in both horizontal and vertical confined spaces. Emphasis is placed on atmospheric monitoring, hazard mitigation, continuous communication, and adherence to NFPA standards to ensure both rescuer and victim safety in high-risk scenarios.
