Emergency Medical Services (EMS) courses

Arm yourself with EMS courses from the Lakeland Emergency Training Centre.

Our only full-time program is the medical stream of the emergency services technology (EST) program.

However, we offer multiple first-aid related courses.  All first aid training is certified by the Red Cross.

Course ID: LP101

Course description: Learn standard first aid skills needed during a medical emergency or accident. This 14 - 16 hour course is recommended for the general public or workplaces with a low probability of performing CPR. This course includes:

  • injury prevention
  • CPR training
  • AED training

Certification is valid for three years.

Evaluation: practical evaluation, open book written exam

Certification: valid for three years
