Green Certificate is a hands-on agriculture training program for Alberta high school students.
Its apprenticeship-style delivery ensures you learn skills by doing them.
You can:
- earn up to 16 high school credits
- explore careers in the agriculture industry
- gain valuable work experience
- reach career and education goals
- qualify and apply for scholarships
Your skills are tested at a regional test centre. Lakeland College is the north east location.
Registration is throughout at the year. However, you must be at least 15 years old to apply. To register contact your school's off-campus education coordinator or career councillor.
If you're a 4-H member, tell you leader, as you may register for the Green Certificate 4-H Project in the fall.
