The Financial Account tile is all about checking fees and making online payments through My Lakeland.

All information about your financial account is found under the Financial Account tile.

fee tile screenIf you see a red exclamation mark like the one on the tile graphic, it means you have outstanding fees on your account.

When you open the tile, the first thing you see is your account balance. This is listed by term/semester.

The due date for tuition and fees is listed on your My Lakeland account.

Click on the Financial Accounts tile, then select Charges Due from the left-hand menu.

Click on the Details of Charges Due tab. The due date is listed in the left-hand column.

Due dates can be difficult to interpret. When viewing dates on a computer, they should default to MM/DD/YYYY. On a mobile device the dates may display as either MM/DD or DD/MM depending on device settings. If you're uncertain if the due date is Aug 5 or May 8, check how your birthday is displayed under the Profile tile and use that to know if the month or the day is listed first.

If this doesn't help, please reach out to the My Lakeland help desk.

The due date is also listed on our website. Go to the program finder and choose a program. Once on the program overview page, navigate to the Important Dates header.

There are several ways to pay your fees.

Most people pay online through either their My Lakeland account or their bank's bill payment feature.

For other options or more information, please refer to our How to Pay Tuition and Fees page.

The Make a Payment page doesn't adapt to the screen size of those devices. For your best experience, we strongly recommend you use a desktop or laptop computer when you make a payment.

Click on the Financial Account tile, then select Make a Payment from the menu.  This will bring up details about all the charges on your account.

Yes, all charges that are listed on your account must be paid by the due date. This keeps your account in good standing and allows you to remain enrolled/registered in your classes.

If you wish to make a partial payment, you can. Just remember your account needs to be paid in full before the due date to avoid late charges. For programs with a waitlist, failure to pay in full by the due date may result in your withdrawal from the program.

If you have questions regarding the charges on your account, please reach out to studentaccounts@lakelandcollege.ca.

If your program has a waitlist and you miss the tuition due date, you may be withdrawn from the program and your seat will be offered to the next qualified applicant on the waitlist.

If your program doesn't have a waitlist and you miss the tuition due date, late fees are added to your account.

Additional late fees are added every week that you are late.

If you are experiencing financial difficulties, please contact financialaid@lakelandcollege.ca.

Depending on how you made that payment, it make take several days for the payment to be posted to your account.

Application fee payments and bank bill payments, for example, may take up to 5 days.  If you are certain you have made a payment please do not pay again.  Instead, wait for a few days and recheck your account.  If, after waiting, you are concerned about a missing payment, please email us at studentaccounts@lakelandcollege.ca.

If you are receiving Government Student Aid and Lakeland has confirmed your enrolment, we will place a Hold on your record.

Click on the Task tile to find the details.

If your government student aid doesn't cover your entire tuition, use the dollar amount listed in your Hold to determine any outstanding balance that's due before the deadline.

You can pay residence fees using your preferred payment method.

Note: If you receive government student aid, Lakeland isn't permitted to collect residence fees directly from your student aid.  Instead, you'll have to pay residence fees after your loan comes through.

Yes we do. The 2.5% convenience fee is charged by Moneris and this amount isn't shown on your outstanding fees. However, this non-refundable fee will show up in the total charges on your credit card statement.

To avoid credit card fees, pay via cheque or online banking.
